Rule 72
Educational Manpower Development Council
(1) There will be an Educational Manpower Development Council with the following members for the purpose of enhancing the efficiency of teachers, employees under the Ministry and people involved in the education-related community, and for the creation and management of policies related to educational development:-
(a) Minister of Education or Minister of State – Chairman
(b) Secretary to the Ministry – Member
(c) Vice-Chairman, Council of Higher Secondary Education – Member
(d) Dean, Faculty of Education, Tribhuvan University – Member
(e) Executive Director, Nepal Administrative Training Institute – Member
(f) Joint Secretary of the Ministry designated by the Ministry - Member
(G) Joint Secretary to look after work related to educational manpower of the National Planning Commission - Member
(h) Director General, Education Department – Member
(i) Director General, Curriculum Development Center – Member
(j) ……………
(k) Two members nominated by the Ministry from among teachers and experts who provide training to employees under the Ministry. (l) One member nominated by the Ministry from among the heads of teacher training centers (d) Two persons nominated by the Ministry from among the heads of privately run teacher training centers - members
(m) Representative, Teachers Union – Member
(n) Executive Director, Educational Manpower Development Center – Member-Secretary
(2) The term of office of the member nominated as per sub-rule (1) shall be three years.
(3) The work of the secretariat of the Educational Manpower Development Council will be done by the Educational Manpower Development Center.
(4) The procedure for the meeting of the Educational Manpower Development Council shall be as determined by the Council itself.
